Refunds

At TIO we believe you should get every penny back for the portion of a medical policy you didn't use. That's why we created the TIO Risk-Free Guarantee. Should you need to cancel your policy prior to travel or in you return early from your trip you will recieve a full refund for unused days. As always, there are no administration fees or service charges.

Please note:
No refunds are available if you have had a claim or if a claim is pending

No refunds are available for annual plans that have gone into effect

All TIO medical policies come with the TIO Risk-Free Guarantee, which offers a full refund if you cancel for any reason prior to travel. What this means is as long as you have not yet started traveling/began your trip you can contact us and cancel your policy and receive a full refund for the policy you purchased; no questions asked.

What you need if you return home early and want to receive a refund for unused days:

In order to process a refund we will require a form of proof showing you have returned home. The most common and easiest form of proof is a receipt that shows the date and the Canadian institution. For example, a gas station, grocery store, Starbucks/Tim Horton's etc. Your form of proof must identify the date and Canadian institution.

Once you have your form of proof:

Email us at info@travelinsuranceoffice.com with a picture of the receipt, your policy number(s), and the number of days you require to be refunded.

Upon review the an agent can begin processing your refund for the unused days back on the method of payment.
